As you continue to adjust to the changes that are happening in your house and workplace during the Coronavirus pandemic, we know you may be looking for additional ways to support communication and learning. Below are a few ways to help Snap Core First users communicate about the current events.
The Coronavirus Topic Page for Snap Core First
We want AAC communicators to have the vocabulary they need to understand and talk about the Coronavirus. We’ve created a Coronavirus topic page on mytobiidynavox.com in Pageset Central. This page includes vocabulary that will allow your communicator to ask questions, share feelings, and comment about the pandemic.
Learn how to import this page set to your child’s device with these written instructions and this how-to video.
Once you’ve downloaded the page set, show your child how they can use the page to talk about Coronavirus.
First, you might touch the “Don’t Understand” button, followed by the “I’m worried” button.
Then touch the “Do you feel OK?” button to give your child an opportunity to share how they feel.
Interested in learning how to support continued communication success while your child is unable to attend therapy? Here are some ways you can help support expanded communication at home.
