Celebrate
Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, a perfect opportunity to highlight the accomplishments of some members of our community. Whether they are controlling a screen with their eyes even outdoors in bright light, accessing Google Assistant and other popular tools such as Facebook, Netflix and YouTube through their communication software, or gaming just like everyone else, we celebrate their success. Their accomplishments inspire us to keep pushing for excellence in assistive technology. Our quest is to empower those with disabilities to do so with the support of world-leading assistive technology, independent of what platform they prefer.
Representation for everyone
It's one of our top priorities to focus on inclusion and diversity in the area of accessibility.
Honor
In addition to hosting industry roundtables on accessibility, diversity and inclusion, we’re continually updating our Picture Communication Symbols ® and synthesized voices to represent everyone. We also provide the symbols for Microsoft’s Immersive Reader Picture Dictionary, which are designed to support students of all abilities. These initiatives, among many others, are part of our commitment to innovate in a way that honors our global community.
