Very young children with speech and learning disabilities can learn language, communication, and emerging literacy skills. But timing is everything! We all know that early intervention is the key to support development and learning to the greatest extent possible for children at risk for delays. Without access to language and literacy during key developmental periods, nonverbal children may experience delays in communication, reading, and social skills which can have a negative impact on the entire education process.
